About Direct Stairs
Welcome to the Direct Stairs website! We’re a small family-owned company located in Coolum, employing the best qualified tradesmen from our local area, who share our companies passion for quality. We serve Sunshine Coast home builders, and we’re a proud member of the QMBA, with all licenses and insurances in place.
Direct Stairs is headed by director Mike Patterson. Mike is a carpenter, joiner and registered builder who started his trade over 30 years ago in 1983, giving him extensive experience that will guarantee your project is in professional hands.

Use this website to explore the staircase options we offer, and chose the styles and materials you wish to use. We design and fabricate stairs with materials that include Solid Timber, Stainless Steel, Fabricated Mild Steel and Glass.
The design process through to job completion follows: Style Selection > Quote > Design Presentation of CAD drawings (including 3D drawings) > Directions Taken on Required Dates > Fabrication > Installation > Painting (if required) > After Sales Service.
